Volunteer Playworker

Triple C (Liverpool) is a Christian organisation working in the L11 area of Liverpool. Triple C works with children & families, older people, we run three foodbank distribution centres and also Norris Green Debt Advice. The Children & Families work is a core part of the work the Triple C does in Norris Green. There are four main areas: babies; pre-school; KS1/Foundation & KS2.

Who are we looking for?

You do not need special skills for this as you will receive fully comprehensive training and coaching where appropriate. The ideal volunteer will be:

• Compassionate & caring.
• Willing to get alongside families and work with them.
• Prepared to assist in all tasks to prepare the session for families.
• Non-judgemental.
• Level headed.
• Reliable & punctual.
• A team player.

You will be expected to generally assist the Children & Families Support Worker or the lead volunteer with delivery of sessions including registration and engagement with families. You will not usually be expected to prepare the session unless you have discussed this in advance. The role includes setting up and clearing away of the session activities and preparing and serving refreshments as necessary. You will be expected to attend regularly, arrive in a timely fashion and stay until the session is completely finished.
