Volunteer Debt Advisor

Triple C (Liverpool) is a Christian organisation working in the L11 area of Liverpool. Triple C works with children & families, older people, we run two foodbank distribution centres, a food pantry and also Norris Green Debt Advice.
Norris Green Debt Advice is a satellite service of St Andrews Debt Advice and has been operating since 2012. Once Covid restrictions have eased we will be running a drop-in service between 10am and 1pm on a Wednesday. Due to increased demand we would like to offer debt advice on a Thursday as well, so we are looking for new volunteers.

Who are we looking for?

You do not need special skills for this as you will receive fully comprehensive training and coaching.
The ideal volunteer will be:

• Compassionate & caring.
• Non-judgemental.
• Level headed.
• Be willing to use the computer systems (with training) that Debt Advice uses.
• Reliable & punctual.
• Professional in your attitude to clients.
• A team player.

In addition to these attributes the volunteer will be required to provide two references and undertake an enhanced DBS check and will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement.

The volunteer will be invited to spend (approximately) 6 weeks shadowing the Debt Advice Support Worker before committing to this role.
